Mechanical engineering accompanies us every step of the way in our daily lives as it deals with fundamental and useful aspects of the human environment. Mechanical engineers make ground-breaking scientific discoveries and turn ideas into products that help shape modern reality. Mechanical engineering is one of the oldest and most comprehensive sciences in the field of engineering and has a tradition going back thousands of years.  It is a creative profession that is constantly evolving, and its greatest breakthrough has been in recent decades, when it dealt with current areas such as robotics, nanotechnology, supercomputing, medicine, environmental protection...

At the Days of Mechanical Engineering experts from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Ljubljana, which is the leading Slovenian and internationally recognized institution in the field of mechanical engineering, will present many possibilities for innovative ways of meeting future challenges and will give you an insight into the attractive world of engineering creativity.

You can take a closer look at the outstanding projects of students and established experts of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Ljubljana, and learn a lot of interesting things about laser measurement and automatic fabrication of complex three-dimensional shapes, mobile robots, drones, automatic diagnostics, and programming of hydraulic components, welding simulation and many other technologies.

You are kindly invited to learn about the achievements and potential of mechanical engineering that drives the future and changes the world for the better!

The Days of Mechanical Engineering will take place in the Technical Museum of Slovenia from Tuesday, 22 September to Friday, 25 September from 9.00 to 13.00 and on Sunday, 27 September 2020 from 10.00 to 18.00.
