Assoc. Prof. Dr. Peter Gregorčič became a member of the Strategic council for digitalisation of the Republic of Slovenia

At its 198th correspondence meeting, the Government of the Republic of Slovenia was informed about the establishment and appointment of the Strategic Council for Digitalisation, which is the advisory body of the Prime Minister. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Peter Gregorčič was appointed among the members, who will work in the working group for education, which prepares measures and projects aimed at improving the digital skills of children and teachers in primary and secondary schools, the internationalisation and digitalisation of higher education, and the digital literacy of the elderly.

The Strategic Council for Digitalisation is a consultative body of the Prime Minister, which must prepare within 5 months a framework proposal of the necessary systemic changes to accelerate the digitalisation of the Slovenian economy, public sector and state administration; prepares opinions on issues, initiatives or proposals related to the digitalisation of the economy, public administration and society; prepares opinions and proposals for the Prime Minister on the strategy for developing artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and other areas of the Council's field of work; monitors the implementation of strategies, plans and actions in digitalisation (Digital Slovenia, Public Administration Development Strategy....); monitor the global development of digital technologies and develop strategic guidelines; propose concrete measures and legal acts in digitalisation to the Prime Minister. The members of Strategic Council and the external consultants perform their work without remuneration.
