The DBF Edvard Rusjan Team will present their new competition aircraft Brvinc to the public for the first time on Tuesday, 31 March 2026, at 16:00, in lecture hall V/8 (5th floor) at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Ljubljana.
The aircraft is the result of several months of development and preparation for this year’s prestigious international Design/Build/Fly (DBF) aviation competition in Wichita, Kansas, where the team will represent Slovenia from 16 to 19 April. The Fly competition places students in a demanding and highly practical engineering challenge. In just a few months, participants must design, build, and test a radio‑controlled aircraft and prepare a comprehensive technical report.
During the event, team members will unveil this year’s aircraft, highlight key engineering solutions and development phases, and present the main challenges encountered throughout the project. Attendees will have the opportunity to gain insight into the team’s workflow and discuss the preparation process for one of the world’s most renowned student aviation competitions.
Over its 18‑year history, the DBF Edvard Rusjan Team has built a strong international reputation, confirmed by numerous achievements, including victories in 2015 and 2019, as well as high placements such as 3rd place in 2017 and 2nd place in 2023.
You are warmly invited to attend the event and learn more about the work of the Edvard Rusjan Team!
