Spoštovani doktorski študenti,
od 2. 9. 2026 do 9. 9. 2026 bo prek sistema VIS možno oddati prošnje za izjemno napredovanje v višji letnik ali podaljšanje statusa študenta.
V sistemu VIS izpolnite vlogo in naložite dokazila. Vlogo nato natisnete in jo podpišete vi ter vaš mentor ter jo, skupaj z dokazili pošljite po e-pošti (tjasa.sterlepolak@fs.uni-lj.si ali doktorski@fs.uni-lj.si), navadni pošti (Aškerčeva c. 6, 1000 Ljubljana) ali oddajte osebno v Študentski referat, do vključno srede, 9. septembra.
Vlogo za izjemno napredovanje v višji letnik ali podaljšanje statusa študenta lahko oddate tudi preventivno, v primeru, da še niste opravili vseh obveznosti, jih pa imate namen opraviti do konca septembra.
Minimalni pogoj za vpis v višji letnik so opravljene obveznosti nižjega letnika v obsegu najmanj 40 ECTS. Pogoji so skladni s Statutom UL (125. in 126. člen).
Podaljšanje statusa študenta (126. člen Statuta UL)
V primerih, ko zakon tako določa, se lahko študentu, ki ni opravil obveznosti za vpis v višji letnik, iz upravičenih razlogov status študenta tudi podaljša za eno študijsko leto, če so izpolnjeni pogoji, ki jih določata zakon in ta statut. Pravica se začne uveljavljati v naslednjem študijskem letu po upravičenem razlogu.
O podaljšanju statusa iz upravičenih razlogov, kot so npr.: daljša bolezen, izjemne družinske in socialne okoliščine, starševstvo in status študenta s posebnimi potrebami ali s posebnim statusom, odloča komisija za študijske zadeve članice ali drug organ, določen s pravili članice.
Kot upravičen razlog za podaljšanje statusa študenta, se za tuje študente prvega letnika študija, ki jim slovenščina ne predstavlja maternega jezika, lahko upošteva učenje slovenščine.
Študentke matere, ki v času študija rodijo, in študenti, ki v času študija postanejo očetje, imajo pravico do podaljšanja študentskega statusa za eno leto za vsakega rojenega otroka.

Dear Doctoral Students,
From 2 September 2026 to 9 September 2026, it will be possible to submit applications for exceptional progression to a higher year of doctoral study or for an extension of student status through the VIS system.
Please complete the application in the VIS system and upload the required supporting documents. Afterwards, print the application and have it signed by both you and your supervisor (mentor). Then submit the signed application together with the supporting documents either by e-mail (tjasa.sterlepolak@fs.uni-lj.si or doktorski@fs.uni-lj.si), by regular mail (Aškerčeva cesta 6, 1000 Ljubljana), or in person at the Student Affairs Office, no later than Wednesday, 9 September 2026.
You may also submit an application for exceptional progression or an extension of student status as a precautionary measure, if you have not yet completed all required obligations but intend to do so by the end of September.
The minimum requirement for enrolment in a higher year is the completion of at least 40 ECTS credits from the lower year of study. These requirements are in accordance with the University of Ljubljana Statute (Articles 125 and 126).
Extension of the student status, Article 126
In the cases stipulated by the law, a student who did not complete the requirements to enrol in a higher year may, based on justified reasons, have his student status extended for one study year if the conditions stipulated by the law and these Statutes have been fulfilled. The right shall begin to be enforced in the study year following the study year of the justified reason.
The extension of status due to justified reasons, such as: extended illness, exceptional family or social circumstances, parenthood and status of student with special needs, is decided upon by the commission for study matters of a Member or by another body as determined in a Member’s regulations.
A justified reason for the extension of student status for foreign students enrolled in the first year of studies whose mother tongue is not Slovene, can be the learning of the Slovene language.
Student mothers who give birth during their studies, and male students who become fathers during their studies, are entitled to have their student status extended by one year for each live-born child.
