The Young Researchers scheme, implemented by the Slovenian Research Agency, aims to enable young researchers to participate in research during their postgraduate studies based on a fixed-term contract, to rejuvenate research teams and to allow the inflow of fresh ideas and approaches. The Young Researchers Programme is a source of highly qualified and motivated employees with great potential for the Slovenian economy and other socially relevant fields. The programme has been running successfully since 1985 and more than 5,000 researchers have successfully completed it to date.
