The Slovenian Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation (ARIS) has announced the results of the (co-)funding of research projects for 2023. The Agency has supported the scientific excellence and potential of our eight researchers:
- Basic Research Project – AD Programme in the field of Energy: Dr. Primož Poredoš – New Approaches for Continuous Atmospheric Water Harvesting with Hydrogels through Radiative Energy Exchange with Space and Waste Heat Utilization;
- Small Basic Research Project in the field of Process Engineering: Assist. Prof. Dr. Matevž Zupančič – Interfacial phenomena of droplets and bubbles on functionalized surfaces investigated by advanced diagnostics for future environmental and enhanced heat transfer applications (DroBFuSE);
- Small Basic Research Project in the field of Systems and Cybernetics: Research Fellow Dr. Daniele Vella – Piezofotonski kompoziti na osnovi dvodimenzionalnih materialov za ultrazvočno stimulacijo v bioloških sistemih (2D-UltraS);
- Small Basic Research Project in the field of Biology: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jurij Prezelj – Acoustic monitoring of urban noise and biodiversity for green future using IoT-Sound-Radar and AI for event classification;
- Small Applied Research Project in the field of Manufacturing Technologies and Systems: Prof. Dr. Franci Pušavec – Research on near dry cryogenic machining for transition to cleaner and waste free production in mass automotive industry;
- Small Applied Research Project in the field of Engineering: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Franc Majdič – Soft robotic hydraulic log gripper system – SOFT LOGGING;
- Basic Postdoc Research Project in the field of Engineering: Tch. Asst. Dr. Dejan Tomažinčič – Development of a cellular composite with the ability to transform cells by a selected activation mechanism;
- Basic Postdoc Research Project in the field of Mechanics: Assist. – Reserch. Dr. Jure Zevnik – Curious Case of Imploding Cavitation Bubbles: Fast Jets and Where to Find Them?.
