On Wednesday, 25 March 2026, Krištof Ajdan Razpotnik Vrtačnik, a student at the University of Ljubljana’s Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, achieved remarkable success at the National University Swimming Championship 2025/2026, held at the Olympic-size pool of the Ilirija Sports Centre. He took first place in the 50-metre freestyle event for unregistered students with a time of 25.13 s, thereby confirming his excellent form.

Held as part of the Ljubljana University Championship (UC) and the National University Championship (NUC), the competition represents an important step towards reviving the tradition of university swimming.
The event was notable for its large number of closely contested, high-quality performances, which reflect the growing interest in and expansion of university sports.
