Purpose of the equipment and additional information
The device enables the performance of complex mechanical tests on various smart materials (piezo- and thermo-sensitive, electromagnetic shielding, …) over a wide range of loads and temperatures. The system also includes two integrated cameras that allow non-contact measurements of deformations with sub-micron sensitivity.
