Ljubljana, 5 June 2025 – The first Engineers of the Future Day took place on 4 June 2025 at the Švicarija in Ljubljana’s Tivoli and was organised by the Slovenian Chamber of Engineers (IZS). Among the three nominees for the dr. Peter Novak Award were also two graduates of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Ljubljana – Iztok Pezdirc (mentor: doc. dr. Katja Klinar) and Blaž Ćernetič (mentor: assoc. prof. dr. Uroš Stritih).
They have both received the Collaboration Award for their Master’s theses, which are presented by IZS to recognise the best theses in mechanical and energy engineering.
We would like to sincerely congratulate Iztok Pezdirc and Blaž Ćernetič on receiving this important award, which recognises the high quality and professionalism of their work. Ranking among the top three is the result of hard work, expert mentoring, and an excellent research environment.
