Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Ljubljana (FS UL) invites you to the Days of Mechanical Engineering 2025, which will take place from Tuesday, 23 September, to Friday, 26 September, between 9:00 and 13:00 at the Technical Museum of Slovenia in Bistra near Vrhnika. The program is intended primarily for elementary and secondary school students, while on Sunday, 28 September, the event will be open to the general public from 10:00 to 18:00.

The Days of Mechanical Engineering offer a unique opportunity to discover innovations and research in mechanical engineering. Visitors will learn how ideas become products and how engineers co-create solutions for the future.
Outstanding student and research projects will be presented, including:

  • laser measurement and demanding 3D shapes

  • mobile robots and unmanned aerial vehicles

  • a hydrogen-powered car

  • smart sensor systems and mechatronics

  • welding simulation and laser engraving with a collaborative robot

  • modern aviation technologies

A special attraction will be a virtual welding simulator, based on technologies from medical simulations and video games. Just as surgeons train the precision of their movements, participants will experience how important accurate hand movements are for high-quality welds.

Entry to the event is possible with the purchase of a museum ticket for the Technical Museum of Slovenia.

You are kindly invited!
