On the World Teachers’ Day, Prof. Dr. Miha Boltežar received the Award of the Republic of Slovenia for his lifetime achievement in higher education. The award was presented by the Minister of Education, Science and Sport, Dr. Igor Papič, and the Chairman of the Award Committee, Dr. Boris Aberšek. The speaker at the ceremony was the President of the National Assembly, Urška Klakočar Zupančič, MSc.

Prof. Miha Boltežar, PhD, has been active in the field of engineering education for more than 40 years and his work has continuously contributed to quality solutions in education. /…/ He has continuously improved the teaching process of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Ljubljana, updated several courses, and received recognition for his high-quality teaching. He is a long-time administrator of the Doctoral Programme in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Ljubljana and a recipient of the Golden Plaque of the University of Ljubljana. Prof. Boltežar’s charitable work cannot be overlooked, as he has been involved with the Likar Foundation for more than 30 years. Prof. Boltežar’s efforts and achievements in the fields of research, application and teaching improve the quality of life of all of us,” notes the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport in the brochure of the Slovenian Education Award 2022.
