Group,a led by prof. dr. Tomaž Katrašnik develops innovative computer models and diagnostic methods for electromobility. These enable the discovery of new phenomena and the understanding of processes in battery materials, as well as the prediction of their internal states in a connection with the impact on the battery health and safety. The library of models enables faster and cheaper development of batteries and fuel cells. The transfer of his top scientific findings to leading global companies has a significant impact on the development of more efficient and safer electric vehicle drives.

Prof. dr. Katrašnik has achieved top scientific results with his work in the field of electromobility, digitization and virtual design of electrochemical devices, that have far-reaching consequences for the sustainable development and future of electric vehicles.

The Zois awards are the the highest possible accolades in Slovenia in the field of scientific research and development. They are awarded to researchers whose work significantly contributes to the progress of science, technology and innovation in Slovenia. The awards highlight the importance of outstanding achievements that resonate on a global level and contribute to the development of the economy and society as a whole.

A maximum of four Zois Prizes for Outstanding Achievement are awarded each year, to those who have achieved exceptional results in the field of science through their work over the past seven years. This award highlights the important contribution of Slovenian researchers to the international scientific environment and at the same time serves as a motivation for young generations to follow their footsteps.

We sincerely congratulate him!
