The Society of Mathematicians, Physicists and Astronomers of Slovenia once again organised the Vega Award competition in mathematics, which was also held at UL’s Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. 28 students participated in the school level competition, of which 9 won bronze awards: Lovro Drofenik, Matej Pevc, Tine Bogataj, Jošt Paternoster, Anže Mošnik, Nejc Amon, Urh Humar, Timotej Ambrožič, Aljaž Kirar.
The most successful among them were Lovro Drofenik, Matej Pevc and Tine Bogataj, who qualified for the national competition to be held on 20 April 2024 at the UL Faculty of Mathematics and Physics.
They all demonstrated their excellent knowledge at the national competition, where Lovro won the gold award and Matej and Tine the silver awards.
Today, the Dean, Prof. Dr. Mihael Sekavčnik, congratulated all the deserving students and presented them with the Vega Awards.
