On Wednesday 27 May, a team of students from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Ljubljana won first place in the university-level large canoe championship held on the Ljubljanica River.
The team impressed everyone at the competition, which featured 18 teams from various faculties of the University of Ljubljana, with their excellent coordination and sportsmanship. Most of the team were students from our faculty, but two students from the Faculty of Pharmacy joined them, too. Together, they wrote the winning story about the Ljubljanica River.
The team consisted of: Leon Haberman, Jakob Majer, Blaž Küplen, Jakob Žibert, Nik Gladek, Žan Luka Virnik, Fabjan Marič Vild, Sara Punčec and two students of the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Ljubljana Sara Oblak and Tjaša Oman.
We sincerely congratulate the students on their outstanding achievements and for representing the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the UL. We will be happy to cheer for the team next year!
